1. Description – BHEL Artisan Recruitment 2025

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a Maharatna PSU, has released the detailed notification (Advt. No. 04/2025) for the recruitment of Artisan Grade-IV posts across its manufacturing units. A total of 515 vacancies are available across various trades such as Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Electrician, Turner, Foundryman, and Electronics Mechanic.

The online application window will remain open from 16 July 2025 to 12 August 2025. Selection will be through a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a Skill Test and Document Verification. Selected candidates will initially be appointed as Temporary Employees for 1 year and later regularized with a pay scale of Rs. 29,500 – 65,000.

1. Educational Qualification: Class X + ITI/NTC + NAC in relevant trade from a recognized institute
2. Minimum Marks:
   • General/OBC: 60%
   • SC/ST: 55%
3. Desirable: Knowledge of regional language depending on the state of posting.

Age Limit & Relaxation (as on 01 July 2025)

• UR / EWS: 27 years
• OBC (NCL): 30 years
• SC / ST: 32 years
• PWD: Additional 10 / 13 / 15 years relaxation as per category
• Work Experience: Up to 7 years relaxation based on valid experience format

8. Salary & Pay Scale – BHEL Artisan Grade-IV

Selected candidates for the Artisan (Grade-IV) posts at BHEL will receive a monthly salary in the pay scale of:

• Pay Scale: ₹29,500 – ₹65,000 (as per BHEL norms)
• This includes basic pay along with admissible allowances such as DA, HRA, and other benefits as per company rules.
• Candidates will be governed by the BHEL wage agreement applicable to their respective units. The pay scale and other allowances will be detailed in the full notification.

9. Selection Process

1. Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT)
   - Trade-wise MCQ exam (100 marks)
   - Cutoffs: UR/EWS – 30 marks | OBC/SC/ST – 22.5 marks
   - Top candidates in 1:5 ratio shortlisted
2. Stage II: Skill Test & Document Verification
   - Qualifying nature only
   - Final merit list based on CBT marks only
3. Direct Skill Test: For BEST/RUNNER-UP Apprentice at National Skill Competition
