1. Description

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially released the RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 Notification under CEN No. 02/2025 for the recruitment of Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III posts.

A total of 6238 vacancies have been announced across various zones of Indian Railways. The online application process will begin on 28 June 2025 and remain open until 28 July 2025.

Candidates interested in a stable government job in Indian Railways can apply for these technician-level posts based on their eligibility. This recruitment offers posts in Pay Levels 2 and 5 under the 7th CPC along with various allowances and benefits.

3. Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen or a person eligible under prescribed categories, such as:
   • Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
   • Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01.01.1962 with the intention to settle permanently
   • Person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries as per Government norms
2. Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025):
   • Technician Grade-I Signal: 18 to 33 years
   • Technician Grade-III: 18 to 30 years
3. Age Relaxation:
   • SC/ST: +5 years
   • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
   • PwBD: +10 to +15 years depending on category
   • Ex-Servicemen and others: As per government norms
4. Educational Qualification:
   • Technician Grade-I Signal (Level 5):
     • 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics (PCM)
     • OR Diploma in Engineering (ECE, EE, etc.)
   • Technician Grade-III (Level 2):
     • Matriculation / SSLC + ITI in relevant trade
     • OR Course Completed Act Apprenticeship
     • Note: Diploma/Degree in Engineering is not accepted for Level-2 unless specifically mentioned

6. Application & Correction Fee for RRB Technician 2025

1. Application Fee:
   • General / OBC Candidates: ₹500/-
     ₹400 will be refunded after appearing in CBT (after deducting bank charges).
   • SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD / Women / Transgender / Minorities / EBC: ₹250/-
     Full ₹250 will be refunded after appearing in CBT (after deducting bank charges).
2. Important Note: Separate application fees must be paid for each Pay Level.
3. Refund Conditions:
   • Refund is applicable only if the candidate appears in the CBT.
   • Correct bank account details (Name, Account Number, IFSC) must be entered during application.
   • No refund will be given for incorrect or incomplete beneficiary details.
4. Correction / Modification Fee:
   • ₹250/- per correction attempt (non-refundable)
   • Correction window: 01 August to 10 August 2025
   • Fields such as “Create an Account” details and “Chosen RRB” cannot be modified.
5. Payment Mode:
   • Online payment only via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI
   • Offline payment modes are not accepted

6. How to Apply for RRB Technician Recruitment 2025

1. Visit the Official RRB Website:
   Go to the official website of your chosen RRB (e.g., www.rrbapply.gov.in).
2. Create an Account:
   Click on “New Registration” or “Create an Account”. Fill in your Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, Date of Birth and other basic details as per your Class 10 certificate.
   Verify your identity using Aadhaar/DigiLocker or other valid Photo ID.
   ⚠️ Note: Details like RRB choice, email, and mobile number cannot be changed later.
3. Login & Fill Application Form:
   Log in using your registered credentials and fill the complete form including personal details, education, category, and post/zone preferences.
4. Upload Documents:
   Upload scanned copies of the following:
   • Recent passport-size photograph (as per guidelines)
   • Signature (as per guidelines)
   • Relevant certificates (PwBD, caste, etc., if applicable)
5. Pay the Application Fee:
   Pay the exam fee online via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.
   Make sure to note the transaction ID for reference.
6. Submit the Application:
   Review all details carefully and submit the application.
   Download and print/save the final application form and payment receipt.
7. Correction Window (if needed):
   If required, you can make corrections (except for “Create an Account” & RRB selection) between 01 to 10 August 2025.
   Correction fee: ₹250 per attempt.

1. Recent passport-size photograph (color, white background)
2. Scanned signature in black ink
3. Class 10th certificate (for verifying date of birth)
4. Relevant qualification certificates (ITI, 10+2, Diploma)
5. Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS), if applicable
6. PwBD or Ex-Servicemen certificate, if applicable
7. Nativity/Domicile certificate (if required)
8. Valid Photo ID proof (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, etc.)
9. No Objection Certificate (NOC) for candidates currently employed in Govt./PSUs

Note: All documents must be uploaded in JPEG, JPG, or PDF format, and each file should be between 100–300 KB in size.

8. Selection Process for RRB Technician 2025

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):
   A single-stage objective-type exam will be conducted with 100 questions in 90 minutes.
   The question paper and syllabus will vary based on the post (Technician Grade-I Signal or Grade-III).
   Negative marking: 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
2. Document Verification (DV):
   Candidates qualified in CBT will be shortlisted in a 1:1 ratio (or as per requirement).
   Must present original documents including educational certificates, photo ID, caste/PwBD certificate (if applicable), etc.
3. Medical Examination:
   Candidates must clear the prescribed Indian Railway Medical Standards (e.g., B-1, C-1).
   Medical tests will assess general fitness, vision, and hearing capabilities.

📌 Additional Notes:
Final merit list will be based solely on CBT performance.
No interview or skill test will be conducted.
Candidates must qualify each stage separately to be eligible for final appointment.

10. Salary Structure – RRB Technician 2025

Note: Salary includes Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), Medical benefits, and National Pension Scheme (NPS) contributions as per 7th CPC.
